What is National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?

The NDIS is an Australian Government initiative that supports people with permanent or partial disabilities. It helps individuals carry out daily tasks more easily and independently. The scheme’s funding covers areas such as education, work opportunities, health, wellbeing, and community participation. By promoting inclusion and empowerment, it enables people to engage fully in society. Overall, the NDIS provides lifelong support, allowing individuals to shape the life they choose.

NDIS Eligibility

To qualify for the NDIS, you must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or Protected Special Category Visa holder, and aged between 9 and 65 (or have a child under 9 needing support). You must have a permanent disability or impairment affecting daily life and may need support now to reduce future needs.
